    w230st Poor DOTA 2 Performance

    Dota 2 is performing very poorly on my w230st and is barely utilizing my GPU does anyone have any idea on how force higher utilization or am I just screwed.

    is it using the integrated or the 765m?

    Which drivers are you using, direct form nvidia.com or from the disc, the disc tend to be better.

    This shouldnt happen.
    My gtx660m handles dota 2 like a boss on max settings and 1080p resolution.

    Check what drivers you are using. Also, the intel iGPU drivers have to be up-to-date for the nvidia ones to function properly too.

    I tried the drivers from the disc first and got about 25 - 30 fps in game. When I moved to the latest Nvidia drivers I got a slight bump in performance by about 5 fps or so I stuck with them. I also found that for some reason my CPU is not upclocking while in game and stays around 1GHz until I open another CPU intensive program and close it at which point it upclocks and I get slightly better GPU and CPU utilization, but it still remains low.

    And this is while plugged into power right, not just on battery?
