    Yesterday in China Shanghai ,a reseller upgrade a gtx485m for w860cu ,
    and strange thing happened :

when RAM is 2GB single , the machine can log in Windows , everything is OK.

when RAM is 2GB*2 or 4GB*1 or 4GB*2 , the machine can NOT light up ,
you can even heard the music of windows system login , but you could see NOTHING because the screen is black !
    (sometimes 860cu beep di~di~di)

test RAM brand : Elpida , Samsung , Hynix
test CPU : from ES to Retail
EVERYTHING changed and w860cu never light up .

We know m6970 can be equipped to 860cu (Eurocom test) , but works abnormally they said VBIOS problem.

w860cu upgrade to 485m , need EC or BIOS upgrade ?

the boss of this shop in Shanghai call to CLEVO factory immediately , but the engineer unexpectedly said " We don't know if w860cu could support 485m " —— official VGA-BOX is 470m .

    the test machine's BIOS is 1.0.18 , newest .
    the power of w860cu , 150w and 180w, all tested .
We found this story from a player's clue in the BBS.
    win7-64bit-ultra

In China we test 480m can be used on 860cu , and we know w880cu's heat sink is more powerful than w860cu cause' one appended GPU copper pipe to the CPU vent .

    Any suggestion ?
Western player of Sager/CLEVO must have method to solve this .
Hope you can help us because our knowledge insufficient !

    thanks again .

    1.Try pluging an external monitor.
    2.W860Cu can use 18.5V/19V/20V adapters. Try a (20V)|(>6A) one.

whats your cpu maybe if you use a cpu with less than 45w you will be able to use the other stick try the i7 620m 35w if you have an extreme edition cpu with 55w tdp try downgrade to maybe a 720/840qm and see what happens

Reason being that the GPU is sucking all the voltage so the mobo can power 2 chips of ram, just one.
