I am trying to decide between the w870cu and w860cu, I have an esata external so I don't need the extra hd on the w870cu so it'll come down to the screen. Which of the two 1080p screens would you say is of higher quality? From reviews I have seen it seems the 15.6 is brighter? Any thoughts?

The 1080 screen in the 860 is currently one of the very best screens in the notebook industry.

That is the truth. I still can't get over how amazingly sharp this screen is. It's better than real life... ah ha.

True, if I switch from balanced to performance mode at night it's light a flash light goes on ;-) The screen is really bright, but it has to be, because it's also relfective like a mirror.

I havent seen the w870's screen but i have the 860's 1080p and its pretty amazing. but i have to say, i were you id go for the 870 cos of its bigger size. I went with 860 cos i needed the portability and not get stares in school for using a monster.
