    w880cu without the expensive 480M

    hmm it seem that it will be possible to get this nice laptop without the expensive 480m, EUROCOM W880CU Cheetah 2.0

    I'm waiting on the price now

    why not just go for the 870 if you dont want the 480 graphics card.
    same barebone & same processor options like the kobalt G870 HERE

    No USB 3.0 or the ability to handle more power draw though.

    Power -> Buy a larger power adapter on ebay

    What us system builders usually do is it looks like there's only one model that takes all three cards, but depending on what card you choose you get shipped either the W870CU (no USB 3.0) or the W880CU (with USB 3.0)

    I hope not, the spec say usb 3.0

    I would get this one without the expensive 480m but might grab it in a year or 2, when needed.

    basically, w880cu is more future-proof than w870cu

    It's been talked about in the w870cu lounge, the power circuitry on the board itself isn't meant to handle more than 120w for extended periods of time. The regulators on the w880cu are better at handling the extra power. This is especially important when overclocking.
