looking to get some quotes on certain merchandise, just wondering who here resales and for which company. Thanks

You'll find many resellers here. Generally, a gray-colored username indicates that the person is a reseller. Links in his/her signature will direct you to the website and/or email. It's best to email/PM/call the person to get the latest info and the most updated price/quote.
Hope this helps. -
i'm wondering how many reseller companys are there
malibal
xotic
mtech
avadirect
a few others i can't remember, if anybody can pm me there usernames that would be less strenuous -
Justin@XoticPc
Brett@XoticPc
paladin44
MALIBAL
mythlogic
babyhemi
There might be more, can't remember of the top of my head. -
I never knew there were so many resellers, b/c coming from the Asus section, there was only GenTechPC/PowerNoteBooks/XoticPC that posted regularly.
Here there's lots, lots more reseller posters lol.
Is there a reason resellers choose primarily Sager over the other laptop companies and use them as their "flagships"? Wouldn't resellers who only sell Sager make a better living selling Sager/Asus/MSI? Just curious -
@OP
Not sure if mtech or avadirect have reps on here, though I vaguely remember maybe seeing someone from ava on here. Some reps also have their emails in their sigs in case you would like to go that route. -
Ava does have a rep, but the person has 2 posts. I don't know how I managed to see one of them, but that post made me do to their site. I have to say avadirect does offer A LOT of customization.

anybody here from clevo? directly?
-
clevo have nothing to do with the forum and cant be contacted directly as they are the supplier to the resellers.
even though it needs updating you can find a full list of resellers > http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...-0-faq-reseller-info-read-before-posting.html -

Any questions just shoot ... we're all here to help. -
Hi there,
Do ask, what you need to ask. -

I have some questions.
There was once a system builder here who was able to offer use individual parts for reasonable prices. Yes, reasonable. Meaning, reasonable. In general under 300$ for old gen motherboards.
To some resellers, I just have to say, do you still really take pride in your work after some people spend more than the cost of a better new laptop on your old stock of parts just to repair theirs?
I was wondering if anyone could provide a similar service. We are talking about motherboards from the old m860tu and m570tu models.
MSI however is a different story. Can anyone get gx640 and gx740 motherboards alone? It seems such a shame that MSI made notebooks in the same chassis across several generations but there is pretty much no way to take advantage of that.
I understand MSI is not like clevo, but I believe there are some true MSI system builders out there.
Could any of you sell a barebones version of the gt660 or gx660?
Maybe this thread should be moved somewhere into the marketplace section. -
Where would you guys recommend me order one from if I'm from Canada?
-
-
Yup, we are Canadian resellers and there are still some st Patrick's Day coupons available
On a more serious note, Jeffrey, just hit the link in my sig and if you have questions, email/PM/call any time.
Good luck. -
Edit: I'll just ask one question right now though, if I may, lol. I'm actually interested in the NP5160, and was wondering if the 1080p option is really not available. -

We don't specifically carry those motherboards in stock we'll have to do research and find them. I'll definitively have an answer for you during the week.
We take pride in everything we do. Customer service comes first. We;d rather you leave happy/informed having bought nothing than unhappy having spent $2,000. -

I'd really like a barebones d901c. Does anyone have old stock?
I'm greatly looking forward to that.

I've been wanting to purchase a sager (idealy 8130 but most likely 5160) (from Canada) ever since i discovered the brand and have been reading up on it - but have been holding off a bit due to a slight deficiency in funds and I guess I've been hoping that prices will go down, even if only slightly. However, I've been noticing a trend in the opposit direction... it seems like everytime I visit a Canadian reseller's site, the base model price increases. My question is: will this be a continuing trend in the months to come/will prices dip any time in the near future? I'm really eager to purchase the Sager, but may have to go with dell for fin'l reasons, if my current laptop konks out before I am able to get the Sager.
-
Seems that consensus is that if you want a Sager in Canada its best to drive across the boarder... Are you far from the boarder and do you know anyone on the US side?
-
-
As far as warranty goes, if you need to send it back to Sager for whatever reason they'll ship it back to an American address or to the "new" Canadian address at your expense. You save money by doing all this in the short run but IMHO it'll cost more in the long run via gas, time and risk. -
thx Nova, I look forward to doing business w you

On a smaller scale, as NovaH mentioned fluctuations are quite frequent. But if you follow the currency
Another positive aspect is the growing global awareness. People can now deeper research the market, communicate&compare between different companies, get another opinion and as a result form the perfect match between the need, the must have and the willing to spend .
Depending on your time frame it may be wise to wait or buy now. -
