Hey, I've been looking at clevo's a for a while now, and all that needs to happen is for 570tu to come out with 9800gtx and hybrid SLI and I will be a proud owner of a clevo. But as I was looking through some old pics, I saw something I never noticed before... Some weird pattern around the keyboard. To me, it seems really weird and seems to take away from the sleekness... but since I haven't even noticed them till now means that they probably aren't that big of a deal. Any opinions from current owners?

linky for details on what I'm talking about

You mean the "square" thing design thing? it's normal and it helps so you won't slide your fingers out of the touchpad.
The quality of the pic is a disaster,it's a phone camera, but you can see the same design, if that's what you are asking about...

Yeah, I'm talking about the checkerboard thing as it just seems kinda out there. The slider thingie is pretty common is laptops now so its not that big of a deal. You said a "fake carbon fiber" design, but does it feel different then the keyboard and stuff?

It's matte, not shiny and not slippery, and encases the keyboard and touchpad in a nice design.
I like it personally since it gives the whole upper side of the notebook a classy look.

I agree that the carbon-fiber styled trim is awesome. You'll love it once you get your notebook!
