This happened yesterday after the machine had be off for 2 hours. I fired up my NP8760 (always on AC power) and it starts beeping and the numlock and caplock LEDs start blinking. The boot gets to the fingerprint logon and then shuts down after the finger swipe is accepted. I Restarted, same thing. I have a dual boot of the original hardrive and a SSD, both with Win 7 Pro 64. I then restarted booting to the other drive. Same thing. This tells me it is something before windows.

I then disconnected the AC and removed the battery. Replaced the battery, reconnected the AC and it started fine. Anyone know what the post beeping blinking LEDs error is?

yeah, I've had that happen by unplugging the fan while the system was on.... :p

Perhaps you have a bad fan or cable, did you get it fixed?
