3 years of labor and parts.
    parts - your laptop component
labor - you need someone to do the job, right?

Is there such thing as just parts? Damn, I'd love that warranty. I'm sitting here going "soooo boorreeed. I've done all the mods I can on my laptop. Maybe I'll rebuild my server or something."

Uhhh... that's a part of the laptop isn't it? And then them actually taking the old one out and installing the new one, that's labor.

both, you will need your retailer (labor) to put in a new cpu (parts)

3 year labor and 1 year parts means that for 1 year they will replace anything that is broken within warranty and not charge you anything for the service they are doing. After that 1 year, you can send in your laptop for repairs and stuff but the parts that you will need you will have to pay for, while the cost of their service for repairing is covered for another 2 years.

That's both - the cost of the replacement CPU itself (that's a parts cost), plus the cost of the time spent by the reseller (or designated repair-shop) to actually take the old one out, put the new one in, and test it (that's a labor cost).

Parts = Them getting a new CPU for your laptop to replace the one that died

Labor = Them putting the new CPU in your lappy

Dont forget that you can upgrade the warranty.
