i have a sager 2090 with t7300 and 8600m gt DDR2 memory. the most i can over clock the gpu is 540 core and 415 memory using atitool, any higher then that and the screen just goes black and i need to restart the laptop.

so my question is whats the over clock of your 8600m gt DD2 on your 2090. i have read many posts of other laptops of getting over 600 core on their 8600m gt ,so i guess i got a dud.

Your clockspeeds seem low. I have a Compal IFL90 (Sager 2090) and this is what I achieved with my 8600mGT DDR2.

Maybe you should give up ATITool for Rivatuner. :)

your drivers will be important in determining your overclocking ability. which ones are you using?

    i currently have 174.74's, oc'ed at 650/500. I get a score of about 4600 on 3DMark06 with 1024*768

I am currently running 600/500(I think...well that is the memory clock but I am not sure if I have the CPU higher). Anyways I run it like this on a zalman cooler, so I'm sure that helps a lot.
