    I noticed on powernotebooks that they moved the shipping date to early June. When I ordered it at the start of May is said the shipping date was late May. You guys think it is delayed or do you think they are just getting backed up with so many orders.

    They made a change to the Socket that the cpu connects to...It is now the LGA 1366 socket...That is the reason for the delay...But, It's a change for the good...i7 940 went to i7 950 with 3.06 mhz and the i7 965 went to the i7 975 with 3.33 mhz :)

    As far as i know all I7s are LGA 1366 socket base.

    As someone else mentioned, the delay is for switching the 940 to 950 and 965 to 975...has nothing to do with sockets. All currently available Core i7 CPUs use LGA1366.
