    You're no longer in warranty?

Replacing a Motherboard for a laptop is no easy thing, and they're the most costly part in the system. (Depending on your video card) You may be looking at spending nearly $400 on a new motherboard.

Contact your reseller before attempting to replace the motherboard on your own. Shipping costs to Guatemala may be a little high, but you wont know until you speak with your reseller to get a quote.

You should be under warranty. All NP9170 i've seen have at least a 1yr warranty and they havent been around for a year.
If you just happen to not be covered you will want to ask Sager to sell you one or your reseller. Since they are specific to these models you cant really find them for sale otherwise.

Warranty status aside, Sager - or your reseller - should be able to perform RMA service and replace the board. There's a possibility that your reseller doesn't stock the board and will need to have you ship it to Sager, so in any case - Sager should be able to do it for you. Your warranty - regardless of who you bought from - should be through Sager though.

    Multi-tasking at the moment so I hope I didn't miss anything. :)

My MB on the 9170 was completely dead, and I just got it fixed though XoticPC and Sager a few days ago, took less a week from when I shipped it to when I got it back. I was very pleased with the speed of the repair. I would assume yours should also be under warranty.
