I upgraded my np2096 from vista 64 to win7 64 using a clean install. I installed the newest audio drivers, newest graphics drivers, and the intel chipset drivers that the factory had originally installed on vista.

what else do I need to update? LAN/Modem/Wireless Drivers?

Btw, my win7 laptop is working perfectly. I'm just wondering if there are any drivers that I should install instead of using generic windows drivers.

Maybe install the drivers that are specific for each relevant hardware component, from each respective hardware manufacturer. That is all I can think, Windows drivers are PROBABLY fine for components other than GPU and chipset.
