Its going to be game dependent, but overall, the P9600 will be better. Mass AI/Physics games will excel on the Q9000 compared to the P9600.

    I just realized the Q9100, and probably the Q9000 have 2 die's Q9100

I wonder if all laptop heatsinks would be able to have a 2 die CPU under them...

Changed my mind yet once again...haha...all I can say is these guys at PCTORQUE are probably getting aggrivated with me and all these changes...I went with the X9100 duo core Extreme...I hope this is the end of the changes..I have read too many posts about how the X9100 kicks the Q9100 in the AZZ for gaming..

It really depends on what games you play now and in the future. The Q9000 may perform better in GTA IV than the X9100 for example. I don't think it is worth spending so much for a 3.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo, I would have just gone for a lower clocked 2.66 Ghz Core2Duo but of course, I would always recommend going for the Q9000 until the other higher clocked Quads become a more reasonable price.

We should really create a sticky 'Duo vs Quad for gaming'

Isn't this like the fifth or so time this same question is being asked?

Dude, I have racked my brain trying to figure out exactly what I must have to do my everyday things...I do some Autocad autodesk...But my heart is really in Gaming...I needed something that would do both no problem and fast...It costed me but, I'm done shopping and changing for sure now. This was the deciding Factor.... http://www.intel.com/performance/mobile/extreme/index.htm?iid=perf_mobile+extreme
