This is the one I got:

It is very durable, the handles are sturdy despite the heavy weight of the laptop with the charger, it doesn't feel like the handles are going to break if you hold it from only one of them. I have walked in light rain as well while having the backpack on and the laptop wasn't wet so that's another plus point.

Speaking of storage, you can store your entire room in there (not literally) but you have so many pockets / sections it's super roomy and convenient.

PS: It costs an arm and a leg but hey, it's the best out there and this beast deserves nothing but the best.

Thanks! a bit bulky but looks good... only problem will be when I travel I already have a backpack for my cameras, and usually they dont give me a hard time with the backpack and a huge laptop bag... this will be two backpacks... hope they don't get picky on me... I think I will get it.

I have this same bag and travel a great deal so be aware it can be problematic as a traveling backpack. In the US it will usually pass as carry on but you can be caught two ways, one is weight and one is size. Most carriers work with a max length of 22" in the US and this bag is longer, 25 lbs will often be your weight cap and it is VERY easy to get this bag over 25 lbs. Remember that bag itself, the 870, and the power brick are going to have you up to 15 lbs without putting another thing in it. In some cases you may be caught at check in if you're checking bags, if you're traveling without a check-in you can be forced to gate check it. Get overseas and it can be much worse, they usually cap at around the same weight but 19 or 20" is the typical limit and often they will not gate check forcing you to go back and check it. I missed a flight in that way.

I'm not trying to be down on this bag, it's excellent in every respect except that it is large enough to garner unwanted attention at airports. In the US you will usually be ok, I will never use it overseas again. On the other hand if you are using it for a take to work backpack I have never seen a more worthy bag.

A friend is using this one with his P870DM - http://targus.com/us/17-spruce-ecosmart-backpack-tbb019us

Pretty good for the price, but wont let you fit in too many things after the laptop and the power brick.

Thinking about the Thermaltake Battle Dragon backpack. Tired of the same old backpacks, with the rounded tops and the same insertion method. Anyone have one? What do you think of it?

Hadn't seen that bag before. Looks like a nice option if you travel with a lot of accessories.

    @Phoenix

does the Notebook compartment sleeve in the Everki have enough room left or is it already tight with the P870DM?
Also not sure if you made it to Dubai Mall to check out the HTC Vive, but would anyone know if we could fit it fit into the Titan alongside base stations, controller and a Notebook?

    1) When you put the P870DM in the Everki Titan, it fits so perfectly you would think it was made for this laptop. It fits very securely but for extra tightness, there is a small latch which you can tighten it with, it sticks using this (I forgot what it's called but I think it's velcro tape) sticky fabric material

    2) I did not make it to Dubai Mall unfortunately for the event but here is the good news for you.

    A) The First Zipper (big compartment) has 2 partitions, one for the laptop, and another big one for the charger, it can even fit 2 chargers easily because when you put the first one, you still have a lot of room

    B) Then there is the 2nd zipper (medium compartment), which also has 3 partitions, there you can put your Vive in the first partition as it is padded so it offers good protection, then you can put other stuff in the remaining 2 partitions like a mousepad, cables, etc.

    c) Then you have the 3rd zipper (small compartment) where you can put accessories, pens, notepads, mouse

    d) then you have other small zippers all around (too many to list)

Having this bag really, you can transport half of your bedroom / accessories in it.

It costs an arm and a leg but it is very durable and nothing comes close to what it offers.

PS: the other day I was waking from my car to the cafe and it was raining. I opened the laptop in the cafe and luckily it was fine, no water leaked in.

PS2: HIDevolution had it on order you may want to check with them what price they can offer it to you.

The titan fit my NP9570 very well so it should fit pretty much anything.

Honestly I've been looking for something with a bit of blue in it. Don't really like red, or orange, but between the Everki & TT, I'm leaning toward the TT. Like you, I'm just wanting to make sure the P870DM-G will fit in it.

I've seen other bags similiar to the TT, branded with esports team names (Evil Geniuses, Fnatic, Cloud 9, etc), steelseries branding, etc when I do a Google image search. I'd much rather get a esports team name on it and have it with the color I like (like Evil Geniuses for example, since it's blue), but no one that sells esports team branded bags of this nature exist in, or ship to the US it seems.

If the backpack costed you an arm and a leg, what did your laptop costed you then? :D

Read a review on the TT bag there, and they said they were able to get a 22 inch monitor, and looks designed for a 24 inch monitor. I'd think there should be enough room for about any laptop, since it looks to be a pretty big bag.

I use a Swissgear Ibex peak bagpack for my P771ZM.. The laptop slot isn't able to fit the laptop however the laptop compartment section just about Fits it.. I love the bagpack as I can carry my work laptop in it too and has many compartments..

Yeah, I have an Ogio bag designed for a 15 inch as well, and my 17" computer doesn't fit in the little padded area. I do it the same way and it still fits, haven't had any issues doing it that way.

I'm in Anchorage and PenAir just weighed my Everki, 33 lbs. Taint full either, in Moscow I had her fairly well stuffed and tipped a scale at 19 kilos. Which reminds me of another facet of owning a capacious laptop bag. If you're a young man 30 lbs is nothing, if you're a pathetic old man like me it gets heavy after a day of schlepping it around

Does it have any separation on the main compartment where the laptop goes? I need to put in there also a Wacom Medium, have about an inch less than the laptop.

There's no separator in the main compartment, but you should be able to fit it in the secondary compartment. I can fit a macbook air 13" in there so the wacom medium should fit.
