thinking to order laptop from pc-specialist

which processor do u recommend to choose with 3070, mostly internet surfing and some very old games.
Will be play some modern games but not much

they have many processers but only Intel 11gen from 11400 up to 11900K

Also they dont offer DDR4 more than 2900, should I buy only 4gb of any RAM and change to another RAM myself. Which RAM do u recommend n this case for X170KM-G ?

    thanks

It sounds overkill for what you want to do.

I myself am running an i5 11400 with an RTX 3070 without issues Call of Duty Warzone etc running smoothly between 110-141fps.
However for what your doing OP an X170KM-G is overkill.

@Reciever if OP is in the UK no matter where we would get the laptop we'd have major tax and shipping to pay.

My system is also from PCSpecialist @Mikle39

No duty on laptops but shipping + vat + handling.

Best bang for the buck in my book is the 11600k. Especially for gaming and low lvl processing tasks.

11700k, but I think 10850k is better option.

In gaming those cores won't make much of a difference at the moment. If you need video editing or the like then it can help a lot of course.

I wouldnt spend too much on RAM right now because it seems you are stuck with whatever default timings Clevo bios allows you to run. 3200 should be possible as im running this right now. I think 10600k is a good chip bascially a 8700k. I would not get a non k chip for the sake of undervolting and underclocking for bertter temps.

You can flash to unlocked bios to change sub timing, or you can use real time menory in xtu to do same thing.
