hi. i was just curious about something, why are there so few posts in this forum compared to the forums of other manufacturers (relatively)?

i ask this only because i am curious, is sager/clevo relatively new as an ORDERABLE notebook, even though it's been a ODM for many years.

i have read here and other places that these are supposedly the best gaming notebooks available.

sager/clevo notebooks are also cheaper in price than other notebooks.

if the forum post count is indicative of its popularity, shouldn't there be a lot more posts?

would this means that sager/clevo is in fact, not a popular choice?

any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

i bought the sager NP5791 and am terribly excited!

I think it is slow because it is uncommon. Many people do not know of Clevo / resellers, but many people know of the Dell XPS line.

I agree with Charr. I've never heard of Sager until I came to this forum. And most people only know Dell, HP, Sony, and Toshiba. How sad... :(

VERY SAD... No-one ive ever talked to has heard of Clevo/Sager...... Which is very sad since those people are the ones that want everything NOW and end up paying LOADS of money at bestbuy or something for a low power machine....

If only people these days used the internet for more than Pron, and stopped being lazy!

Clevo is a Taiwanese computer manufacturer, producing parts and complete systems for the big brands. Companies like Sony, Toshiba, HP, Dell and Acer are spending a lot of money to promote their products. They buy most of the advertissements in our computer magazines. They make laptops for everybody.

Sager does not and I am happy with it. Thanks to their policy I have been the proud owner of a Sager 8890 for four years. This laptop scores a 3.6 with Vista and still outperforms all mid-range laptops. Now I am going to replace it with again another tremendous machine: Sager's NP9261.

Keep up the good work guys!

    SHHH!!!!!

We like to keep it on the down low. If everybody knows about it, takes the fun out of things. So SHH...

honestly i think there is less posts due to less problems. Typically people are more active when they have problems rather than when their computer works fine :p

I was considering getting a Falcon Northwest or a VoodooPC laptop, then I decided to do a little research on high performance gaming laptops and found that both of those high dollar name brands use the Sager/Clevo's for their top of the line DTR's. So I went with the 9261 and am saving myself thousands of dollars compared to those big names with their fancy paint jobs =P

I have to admit these Clevos are tempting, but kind of make me nervous too. Plus in the case of the 9261, I'm assuming you have to make use of special drivers that enable SLI on an Intel chipset (whereas you can pretty easily use reference drivers on single GPU notebook).

But still, a quad core Core 2 in a notebook is pretty awesome!
