    why can't I install winXP with AHCI enabled on my m860tu

    I did slipstream the Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller driver from STOR_all32_f6flpy32_8.7.0.1007_PV.zip in my winXP installation CD.
    The bios settings are as follows:
    Installed O/S: [Vista]
    SATA Mode Selection: [AHCI]
    however I still got the 0x0000007B Bsod at the beginning of the installation after windows setup loaded all the files.

    I got really frustrated with all those bluescreens, would someone be kind enough to show me the necessary files and the exact steps to install winXP with AHCI enabled on an m860tu

    honestly, i have no idea why you would really want to use xp on an m860tu...vista x64 business for me is much faster and better for gaming and such... I have 0 issues with vista. The only comparisons i can make compared to XP is how it's superior....not to mention windows 7 is just around the corner.

    Just my 2c
