so i just got my new lappy :D

and im running win7 RC on it, but the driver disk that came with the laptop doesn't work of course with win7.

i know i have to download and install the graphics driver from nvidia, which isn't a problem. but where/how do i install any other drivers i might need. can i still get them off the disc somehow?
im a relative tech moron, so i have no clue even what drivers i need. but i can follow directions well, so if anyone has done this please let me know what i have to do.

Switch the compatability mode for the autorun on the driver disc to Vista.

That list hasnt been updated since the release of the 8662, you can find much newer drivers if you look. There is also a new UPEK Protective Suite software designed for Windows 7. You can get it directly from UPEKS website.

The annoying thing about the UPEK proector suite 2009 is that it only works on win7 builds 7000-7100...Although the older version runs fine on 7 if you force the reader to use the older drivers. Interestingly (and highly annoyingly) if you have 2009 installed and upgrade win7 to a build higher than 7100, protector suite stops working and won't uninstall as the OS isn't supported (!) and you need to uninstall it to get the older version to install...
