i play alot of online games (cs,css,bf2,cod4...so on) anyway.. i noticed i get a LARGE spike when i play every 10-30 mins..
i've looked up the problem in each respective game..
from what im told.. it has to do with windows controling my wireless.
i was told to use the software for my specific wireless card and it will clear it all up.
which brings me to... where's my wireless cards software?
i have the 5792.. and running vista64
help! my head count drops everytime i spike/lag... no fun

what kind of wireless card do you have would be a good place to start.
there different cards.. with different chipsets... Atheros...PRISM..Broadcom, etc.. each preform differently and use different drivers respectively. -
Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
is what it says... -
I had lots of problems with a card like that. then I got an atheros and haven't had any drops yet

you should have a driver disk with your notebook that has the PROset wireless drivers on it
otherwise just get them off that there Intel website
by the way I am not experiencing any issues with mine,
some routers / access points can be a little fussy about wireless cards though (you would have thought they would get THAT right)
my last notebook had the intel card, and a cheap conexant router kept dropping other users off every time I connected
ended up with a netgear router that seems nice and happy.
