i'm about to pull the trigger on the Clevo w370et but the problem is that the i7-3630 is a bit too expensive for me so i'm thinking to compromise on the i5-3210 , the question is : will it have an big effect on my gaming experience as a hardcore gamer or not?

    thanks alot in advance

For gaming, the 3210 should be sufficient but outside of gaming you may find yourself hurting for some more processing power while multitasking.

    Depends on the game.
    Which games do you play?

    My 2nd Gen i5 bottlenecked my GT 555M in BF3. about 25%.

Not sure what that means. I understand you would like to play games but if your primary focus is say WoW. Then go with the i5. If your primary focus is say BF3 go with the i7. Depends on your primary focus.

The i5 and 660M is not a bad combination and should see you through every game at the moment.

You can always upgrade it later :)

Current gen i5 is substantial enough for modern games. Upgrading to the i7 will get you a very subtle performance increase. The whole i5 vs i7 for gaming debate has stretched far and wide, but realistically, while the i7 will certainly prove it's mettle beyond an i5, the benchmarks in gaming between the two don't reveal a marginal gap.

Invest the difference in your GPU. :)
