i just installed gskill's 2x2gigs of ram in my 2092. the cl's are 444-12 also. xp only recognizes 3 gigs but this laptop is screaming now. and i only have a 2.1 ghz processor. my hd temp avg/idle went down 2 degrees also. now it's off to see how much it's gonna help in supreme commander. tata slowpokes.

p.s.- btw, i got it off newegg for 80 bucks. they jacked the price up 5 bucks the other day if anybody's interested.

I wonder if to get 4 gigs of ram one time with my m860tu then?

Or should I just get the default 2 gigs and just see if I need it and then buy it from newegg? (not located in the states and I know newegg gets on about that)

full 4 gigs will only be recognized by a 64 bit os. i was disappointed at xp only recognizing 3 gigs. i was hoping for 3.25, but oh well. i can't complain when stuff instantly pops up on my screen because of one extra gig.
