Note, I couldn't get the Clevo drivers updated to 2.0.34.0 although that is how they are marked. The Sager drivers (which rename the controller to Renesas Electronics) did correctly update the drivers.

A short while ago, Clevo pulled all BIOS from public FTP access. While I have left the links in place, they no longer seem to be accessible to outside requests. If you need a Clevo x7200 based BIOS (not to necessarily be used on an NP7280, please contact your reseller / builder. If you *do* have an NP7280, the Sager BIOS links are still operational.

• Clevo FTP - Besides having a normal command line FTP, Clevo has added a new web based interface for file transfers. Look at the path links in your post, you will find them through this web interface. You can login with user: "anonymous" and your email as the password. I got a [YUAN MC907 Hybrid Analog/ATSC/DVB-T] - [PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AC12&SUBSYS_000312AB&REV_00] version 6.14.10.404 dated 2010-08-09 in my X7200.

The installed drivers are for Lenovo and the only ones i managed to find and they act up with the intel raid controller (intermittently dumping disk and crashing raid). ANy suggestion where to get proper ones?

Sorry, no one's ever posted a link for the VBIOS.

Ask your vendor if they could provide you with a download. If you get a Clevo or Sager link, post back, and I'll update the main post.

Thanks. A sticky would be great, but it might get lost in the noise if things every model is posted. I just have a bookmark set, and keep coming back.

For those interested about this thread, I try to keep everything up to date at worst case on a weekly basis, and bump the thread every month or so so it shows up for newcomers.

I take it that would make this the 1.01.11SA bios then? I've got the 1.01.12SA, and would like to know if there is a factory ISO of this, or a newer version. Sager though, not clevo, though the Clevo and Eurocom versions would be nice to have as well.

The last "official" Sager BIOS was 1.01.12/EC 1.00.07SA3.

There was another "leaked" BIOS - 728BV13S.ISO, but that was never officially released by Sager.

In regards to drivers, go to the front page, and grab/install any/all of those that apply to your config.

I've the 1.00.07 BIOS, should I update it, and if so to which version? Also, all BIOS download links are dead, can someone upload it or link me a working one? Thanks in advance!

 

The Clevo ones no longer work, but I've left them up at this time. A little while ago, they removed them from their own FTP site - even the web based FTP.

My guess is some ppl bricked their machines, and they didn't want to deal with the support. Check with your reseller/builder. See if they can get you any updated BIOS versions. BTW - if you have a Sager, the Sager BIOS links do work.

 

I don't have a Sager, but a Sager BIOS installed on my x7200 as I needed it to run the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility as it was locked with my stock BIOS. Also I believe my builder is unable to provide me with a new BIOS as they even suggested me I should use the VGA driver that comes with the install disc.... Cat 11.6 in 2012... yeah

 

If you are using the Sager based BIOS in your x7200, then I *believe* you can upgrade to other Sager based BIOSs.

I see Babyhemi @ LPC-Digital has a custom x7200 bios of some sorts.

Can not one write from self a bios, or modify the latest x7200 bios and insert inside "data" so that motherboard then recognizes the geforce 680m ?

Because as i can see, suporting an unsupported VGA is bassicaly a bios update away.
If clevo won't want to make one for us, can't we make one for us ourselves ?

By the way, im looking to upgrade the vgas and for that i need what is named "the latest bios".
Unfortunatly there is no way bioses for the x7200 are no longer downloadable.

Can anyone post a link with the latest bios so that i can download it and update my mainboard ?

 

Latest (or last published one) would be this one. Direct Link here. It's also what I have installed at the moment.

As for the rest. a BIOS mod is not necessary I think, but a driver mod. The one.de guy said with the latest SagerBIOS (my link) the Card gets even recognized in the BIOS, but not in Windows itself. With the GeForce-driver mod it was successful to install the card though.
Too bad he couldn't test the card in games yet, he thought the 580/485/675 heatsinks didn't fit the card properly and gaming would damage the card. Which should be incorrect.

 

You know what there is not in the OP. A driver for the YUAN internal TV tunner. Made it work in the past, now i reisntalled my windows and it has no drivers, i didnt remember what i did in the past, would need to look further.
ALso one must note that the supplied motorola bluetooth driver does not work. One installed and turned on, it says, bluetooth dongle not supported.
The only way to make it work is to let windows install through windows update drivers, and do not install dirver from cd/ftp.

It work as its suppose to with my Nokia BH 905 stereo bluetooth headset.

I didn't order mine w/ the TV tuner, and don't recall seeing a driver listed on Sager's or Clevo's site. If you have a link or can find a resource, let me know, and I'll update the OP.

 

New updates thru Nov. 2012 for the x7200 drivers.

 

The Authentec software full versions are available on their website now, but it warns they have been bought and are not making any future versions. I downloaded the WBF and common version and both seemed to work and upgrade my x7200 to the 2012 release.

The common version adds more features than the WBF flavor.

I just got a second 6970m for my NP7280, The Video BIOS driver link is dead, and I can't find it in the web interface of the FTP.

Also, with the second card installed, booting gives me no video whatsoever, should I post another thread to troubleshoot that, or is there something simple that I'm not doing to fix it?

Edit/update: I tried using the new card alone, and it didn't work. I guess it's time to figure out how to replace it, or find a new one....
