xoticpc rocks ... thanks justin...new system on its way

spoke with justin and let me say he was extremely helpful, answered all the questions i have, and helped set me up with what i need. which needless to say other resellers did not do..

anyway i have a new system on its way...

a barebones sager/clevo 570ru (i say sager/clevo because im not sure what is actually coming since xotic normally selld this as a sager but i know the barebones are almost always clevo labeled ill know more once i get the invoice) ...
its configured with:
wuxga (since wsxga was on backorder but that was what i really wanted i settled for the wuxga due to the 100$ off on it right now im sure ill love it)
8700gt 512mb ddr3
bluetooth
wi fi built in
fingerprint reader (nice didnt see this on other barebones)
cd/dvd burner
and everything else it normally comes with

the parts i will be putting in it are
t7500
250gb western digital hdd
4gb of patriot ram
and of course artic silver

i simply cant wait. i spend a long time deciding on this as many know, and was about 2 seconds from buying a toshiba x205. but i decided i wanted something different.. and dont get e wrong i think the x205 is a fantastic machine but i just coulnt get past its styling. i finally saw one and just didnt like the cover or the overall look of it. it did feel like a quality notebook but just not my style preference.. i know i would have got a lot more for the $$ with it.. but i think the sager/clevo will def make me happy i just cant wait..

again bit thanks goes to justin at xotic pc..i have to say they were only a few dollars more than other sellers but the service i recieved so far simply rocks

i hope so i have been so torn as to what to buy took a lot from me to decide on this one without seeing it first but im def hoping its as nice as you all say it is.. .. i love my bike. im about to by a new one since thats a 04 and id like a newer one.. we'll see.. i may have my armada painted to match that color.. i LOVE that color..

 

you drive an armada? gosh i drive a damn ford focus.

 

lol we own 2 armadas.. the wife has one also.. she basically stole mine so i went and traded her vue in and got another one... you can make them focus' crazy fast though...all i used to own and work on was sport compacts..

i have a close friend who is the general manager at a nissan dealer so we got a killer deal on them trust me i didnt pay full price..we love them and i have mine mainly for work i do mobile car audio installs and i didnt want a van.. so with this i can flip all the seats down and bring my tool boxes with me..im just not a van person so its more like my business owns mine...

 

Who makes the screen on the clevo you're getting? I read the grainy screen problem goes back to several manufacturers, so it affects several notebook brands. Can you check it carefully and report back? Give us an impression when you get the new notebook.

 

almost every single person i asked said it was a lg screen. before i spoke with justin i spoke with rjtech, and powernotebooks. both of them said its a lg as well
