Okay i just got my laptop and i dont think any window is confirmed on it yet. So i just put xp pro 32 bit in and hit f12 at starting, boot from cd. At the windows set up screen an error comes up saying.

IF this is the first ... time seen screen .. retsart.

Check to be sure you have adequte disk space. If a driver is indenfitied in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check your with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shawdowing. IF you need computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options, and ten select safe mode.

I got my 2090 w/o OS pre-installed and had some problems as well. Here's what I did...
At startup, hit F2, go to Advanced, then disable AHCI config. This should allow you to install Windows XP OS. That's what is causing your install problems. The Whys, etc as to problems and solutions are quite numerous. I suggest Google it to find out more info. There's alot of info available.
Hope this helps. Congrats on your new computer.

Does your XP disk have SP2 on it?

If it doesnt, slipstream SP2 on it(search for guides).
