is it possible to order a laptop without ram and hdd to save money? I have an extra hard drive and 8gigs or ram lying around in the house. Let me know if anyone knows anything on this! I know its a funny question :)

    It's not funny at all..

All configs can be sold without HDD and RAM, you just have to contact the resellers and ask them for a quote!

Just have to make sure all your extra components are compatible.

biba028, i have replaced hard drives and ram on my previous laptops, Qosmio x505 being my last. I am comfortable with that. Also I can just get a momentus xt and 8gig dd3 ram which will be compatible right?

Yes, and you have a lot of options on RAM. The stock RAM is DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600, 10660, or 10666). However, you can always go with DDR3 1600 or DDR3 1866 if you choose a model with a processor that supports it (2720QM or better).

I have talked to seller, its not worth it, sager only gives $25 off for no hard drive and $40 off for no ram. (there is $50 off ram special with 8gbddr3 lol)
so i guess ill be ordering it with ram n hdd
