Why not using the USB port like you should?

I want to minimize the power I draw from the notebook from all the USB-ports.

After doing a google on USB Power Specifications, it seems that the max allowed current you can draw through an USB is 500 mA, and using a USB Hub, its only allowed to draw 400 mA. So I would guess you need the 400 mA one :) Im not sure tho.

If you have the cooler and you can't find anything related to it in the manual then e-mail the manufacturer.
