    Looking at the Folllowing Laptops....
I'm in the military and do a lot of traveling. Wanted something for Pictures/Movies/Internet...but ALSO Gaming Like MW2, Borderlands Etc., upcoming Alpha Protocol.

I have settled on teh 260M GPU...but want teh SMALLEST taptop I can get with that GPU. Found the Sager NP8662, and Asus G51J-a1 at XOTICPC......any other options I should look at?

    thanks

Weight and heat are issues for the clevo (dont know the story about asus) , specially if you do a lot of traveling. The Asus has better features as i see.

    heat?

Searched the forum,I found that the overall heat dispersion is better in np8662 than g5x series?

except some one has a hdd heat problem in np8662?

If you use external mouse with right hand,
you will not feel any uncomfortable in the left palmrest.
But my np8662 is hot in the right palmrest.

The Sager is much more reliable than the Asus laptop. It handles CPU and GPU temperatures better, though not HDD temperatures... and so far, I don't think anyone has had harddrive failure due to overheating. The Asus laptop also has an underclocked GTX 260m (I think to 9800 gtx levels.)

At the end, the Asus is cheaper and has a more powerful CPU. But for traveling and the military, the better battery life and rugged-ness of the Sager will serve you better.

The Asus above has the 260M underclocked from the factory, which is generally understood to be because of heat issues. Assuming you may end up in a location with rather high ambient temperatures, heat may become a problem. The Sager will run cooler than the Asus, that has been established.
