I think a lot of people are, this thread will become flooded once the 7970 is out
-
-
Does the 675m have Optimus?
-
Yes it does.
-
Yeah I was impatient. I ended up getting one today. No waiting for the 7970 nonsense.
-
o damn jesus that means my hopes of getting this laptop before memorial day have been obliterated
believe me, the 7970M is worth waiting for. Once the benches are out, you'll be regretting u didnt wait ;D buy when you need not when you want -
HAH, then I'd never get anything nice and new! You sound like my father, lol.
Besides, I'm a Nvidia guy. -
Good for you man! Could you check this for me?
what is your customization on your laptop 95% gamut? calibration? if without calibration, I want to know if the screen look good enough that I don't need calibration. How about portability? Is it heavy? just curious?
create hype before unit arrive the end of the month -
Just thought i'd throw this out here, not sure if it this was there before (i sure didn't notice it) but Sager's website has this posted under the specs for the NP9150:
Switchable GPU by AMD Enduro™ Technology - AMD Radeon™ HD Graphics / Intel® GMA HD GPU
AMD Radeon™ HD 7970M Graphics
so it seems as though when they ship they'll come with Enduro, which is great news -
This is my 11th full day in production... I'm a bit anxious considering it's a 5-12 day build time.
-
I feel you i'm getting the 7970M and i leave the country on June 23, so i need it by the 22nd at latest. Makes me nervous thinking if it'll arrive on time ><
-
wow how come your notebook already start in production phase while radeon 7970 not arrive yet? When did you make the pre-order?
-
where did he say he was going into production... o.o
-
Hmmm.
I am speccing out a P150EM on the major sellers here. Why is it that Mythlogic has an option for two full HDs and an optical drive, when the other seller configs only allow an mSata 80GB OS or cache drive and HD and then a second HD requires giving up the optical drive? I'd like something like a 750 GB HD, 250 GB SSD, and a BluRay burner. I must be missing something? -
his signature? anyone know how long does it take for production, and shipping ?
-
It's just meaning it's pre-ordered like it'll go into production whenever they get the stuff. Sorry if it was misleading lol
-
I wish I had time to wait for the 7970m!
- DSx1if30wn3r -
*pats* there there it'll be ok :3
worse situation man you'll just upgrade to a 680 when it's out, and if that doesn't match up to the performance just get the 7970 later (assuming you have the budget) -
You are mistaking. There are 1 HDD slot, 1 mSATA slot and 1 ODD/HDD. You probably looked at the P170

I thought it was already stated that if you go with the Nvidia cards, there's no way to upgrade to the AMD cards due to a difference with the video cards... the motherboard is not cross-combatible with both manufacturers? Anybody else see that same thing?
-
Hey Xoticpc,
I'm thinking about order one with 7970 from you.
do you guys charge my card at the time I place the order? or at the time the order is about to ship? -
Eurocom has posted some type of AMD video driver for their Racer 2.0 (P150em). I was unable to load them on my macbook in bootcamp, but someone else may have more success.

OK, sure looks like P150EM with 2 HDs and 0 mSATA and 1 Optical! (see bolded above.) -
2nd HDD is only with ODD removed. No 15" laptop has 2 HDD bays.
-
Xotic force has 2 hdd. But it is based on an msi bare bones.
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2 -
^ of course that's the MSI 16F3, you can put 3 HDDs in that thing
-
This is my confusion: how am I allowed to configure this on their web site this way and send it to sales?
-
From what i've seen from other members here, they're upgrading their nVidia cards to the 7970 as well. So i don't think it's a motherboard. It would make no sense for sager to offer an AMD and nVidia card if they required different boards. What you will need to wait for is for the clevo 7970's to release though, since there is a vbios difference between the clevo and the dell and etc.

We charge your card once all parts are in stock, not when your order, but before it goes into production. -
I'm leaving the country on June 24th and will be gone for 5 weeks. There is a good chance if I got the 7970m, I would get it in time, but I can't wait and want the laptop ASAP. To give you an idea, this is my first gaming computer. I've been using a Gateway laptop from 2008. It has a 3650m haha. So either way, going from a 3650m -> 675m/7970m will be a life changing experience lol.

Try looking at this link....

I would say wait for when you get back. If you run into problems it will be a huge hassle to deal with RMA. -
hey guy if I just pre-order on last Monday. Do you think it is possible to receive unit before July?
-
^ either green or red team, yes.
-
Wow... price : performance ratio is drool-worthy
-
Lol I know what you mean, I'm going to be coming off of an Intel Integrated Graphics laptop on my 2004 Pavilion.... Let's just say I got use to gaming at 10-15 fps xD Life changing indeed
Well 3rd full day of production for my NP9150 from Xotic! hehe -
Just received my P150EM. I got a hard drive caddy preinstalled as I have my own HDD I want to install. However cant seem to get the caddy out of the chassis and im scared of something snapping and breaking. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
-
Hmmm. So just a mistake in their config for purchase web screen? How disappointing.
I really need the internal BD burner, and I need around 750 GB storage but I can't afford an SSD anywhere near that size.
-
jefflackey, if you still need a 256GB SSD, go on BUY.com.
Buy.com - Crucial M4 256GB 2.5" SATA III Solid State Drive (SSD)
Also sign in with a new email when you buy and get it for $190 [additional $10 off].
So awesome; just ordered mine. -
I don't know if you did this or not...Did you remove the screw holding it in place? I think it's located in the main hard drive compartment at the bottom. Once that is removed you should be able to push it out.
-
Ive removed the fake DVD drive bezel and ive unscrewed the screw which is where the battery indicators are yet still no luck.

I have removed the fake snap on CD drive bit what covers the caddy.

That is a great price. But I suspect the Mythlogic order page is allowing me to add the second HD with the internal optical drive just because they assume you won't choose a second HD when you pick an optical drive.
I may just switch to the P170EM. Gotta go read that thread now, LOL! -
Here's a screenshot of where the screw might be to enable you to remove the ODD. This is a screenshot of the bottom with the cover off.
-
Woot, laptop shipped yesterday at 8:15pm from California!
-
Congrats man enjoy it ^^
-
How many people ordering from xotic wit 7970m.
Any one know when Xotic gets 7970m and starts to build and ship -
I ordered. Xotic doesn't even know exactly when they are getting them
-
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say 2 weeks before 7970m production begins and we won't get laptops til around june.
-
Thanks for the help mate.
To anyone whos interested you can get the service manual for the laptop from here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...m-upgrade-guide-please-keep-thread-clean.html
The service manual has instructions for installing a second HDD and for getting access to the RAM underneath the key board. Enjoy! -
That's correct. There's not a safe guard that stops you from picking and ODD and two HD's.. They would caught it in sales and notified you though. If you need 750GB storage and want to keep the optical drive internal, why not get one of the hybrid drives? Or a 750Gb HD + mSATA SSD (enable SRT) + ODD? Talk with Myth and tell them what you want, and they'll advise you as to what parts you should get
-
I also ordered laptop with 7970m Don't know when it will start production.
-
The moment production information is available, i'm sure the forums will be swamped with it. Including posts from the resellers themselves. Like everyone else patience is key. Only a few more weeks until we're there!
