Even with all the USB stuff connected? (and all the USB extensions I use to get even more USB stuff connected?)
EDIT: Sorry for all the ? but you are the best pro with this system

I haven't had an issue. Sager never even offered dual PSU as an option for this model and I am not aware of many of us who have dual PSUs for it and I've not heard any complaints about anyone overloading their PSU.
It has built in protection that will cut it off if it overloads. I wouldn't spend the 200+ bucks unless you actually manage to do that.joluke likes this. -

Its the AC-100 power converter box to connect two. You could use a wall power meter to see how much it is using.

Honestly I like having a backup PSU around. You can probably get the AC-100 from RJTech or something. I got mine from laptoppartsnow but I can't find it in their stock anymore. I don't really leave the house often (agoraphobia) so shipping things is kind of a pain for me.
Try contacting them on this listing. They obviously have it, see how much for just the part. The links I found to it in the description for the various PSUs aren't working.
http://www.laptoppartsnow.com/j02100lclac03.html
And the AC-100 I received from them is an actual Clevo part complete with the trademark date sticker and the yellow part number sticker.
They sell the pair for 255.

When I contacted Sager about it, they wanted 90 bucks for the AC-100.Last edited: May 22, 2016joluke likes this. -

I don't think anyone bothers to make a knock off version of the box, it's a bit niche for that.
-
You never know with Chinese parts. LPN carries legit Delta 330AB bricks as well.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
True, but it's fairly simple circuitry wise at least, there should not be too much to get wrong either.
-
Haven't been able to find any info on this elsewhere:
What is the speed of this model's SD card reader? Looking at using the SD card slot as storage. -
That's going to be some slow storage. You're much better off going USB. With that said, it read my UHS-1 microSD just fine with the adapter and seemed just as fast as it is in the phone. I don't have my machine right now or I'd test it for you.

Hi guys, new here but having some frustrations with P375SM-A connected to 4K display @ 60hz
Basically, my issue is that whenever I have any drivers installed that are 36x.xx and up, I get "Display driver NVIDIA Kernel Mode Driver, Version 36x.xx stopped and has successfully recovered" at least every 5 mins just browsing or gaming (kills game), when running in SLI. Running 1 card & 1080P seems to be OK but I didn't buy a 4K display just to run everything in 1080P
I must have spent 12 - 14 hours playing around with drivers for my Laptop and cannot install anything past 359.06 without constant crashing in 4K.
Laptop Spec:
Win 10 x64
16GB RAM
1 TB SSD
2 x GTX 970M
Prema BIOS and vBIOS v.2 installed
I've got the new DOOM game installed and bought a 4K 49" LG TV to play it on but sadly cannot play it reliably as the new drivers just crash the game in 4K and even 1080P but can get a little more time out of it in 1080P.
I can get 40 - 50fps in DOOM with everything set to ultra when it's running in 4K before crashing, so the Laptop can handle the stress.
Read through this thread and noticed people having issue with the 36x.xx drivers on this machine. Will the DP make a difference if I get DP to HDMI?
Just wanted some opinions and help really as I'm at the end of my tether f-ing around with this. I'm currently sat on 359.06 without issue but DOOM doesn't run properly.
Cheers!Last edited: Jun 5, 2016 -
Use the stock vBios. The driver crashes because it's trying to underclock which Prema's vBios doesn't allow that well to avoid throttling. The stock vBios doesn't crash the driver... At least in my Clevo
-
Thanks for the response. I installed Prema's vBIOS mainly as I couldn't update past 359.06 previously. The Win10 loading screen would hang then crash forcing me to system restore. After Prema's vBIOS, no issues with updating but now obviously having issues again with 4K @ 60hz with latest drivers
How would I go about flashing back to stock without bricking?joluke likes this. -
Found it on Prema's page & flashed back to stock and reinstalled 368.22 after using DDU - same issue
-
Try 365.19 - it tends to not have issues that have plagued later driversi_pk_pjers_i and TomJGX like this.

Or 362.00... Both should be fine..Ethrem, i_pk_pjers_i and joluke like this.

365.19 was the DOOM game ready driver so the performance should be better with 365.19

Thanks for the 365.19 driver info, I'm always afraid (due to bad experiences) to install any driver that you (Ethrem) don't approve first.. I hope you never leave here lol
EDIT: I know from past experiences, if you just install any ol driver, not only will you simply have issues, but you can get BSOD as well if its a crappy driver. (I did with one particular version anyway)
It's like every few drivers they forget about laptops with 980 SLILast edited: Jun 6, 2016 -
I was running it on my laptop with no issues and it runs so well on my desktop it even overclocked my already stock overclocked 780 Ti from 1072MHz boost up to a whopping 1150MHz boost without increasing the voltage or temps.
My 9377 should be back this week, hopefully Wednesday. -
What happened to your 9377? Did you have to send it for repairs?
-
I did indeed. It was pretty massive this time but hopefully now that just about everything is new, whatever has been haunting my system will go away. I had to get a new motherboard.
-
-
What else did they replace? Honestly, you should push to get a new laptop now, like the P870... These repairs are proving pointless so far..Ethrem likes this.

Sound Blaser X stuff.. has anyone EVER seen any use for this? It loads on windows startup.. but when I try and use it (ie change vol.. anything in the program) nothing happens? Is there any point to this software at start up?
Note I use HDMI to connect to TV and use TV sound as primary.Ethrem likes this. -
I agree.. its scary to hear as we bought our computers almost same time.. I have Eurocom X8 (Clevo P377SM-A) he has NP9377 version but lets be real.. they are almost the same and I fear I will have same issues..
Also on a side note, I don't know how to control posts here, like this one, I selected my Eurocom X8 (Clevo P377SM-A) from my sig and as you see everything gets bolder and bolder with no option of why lol
EDIT: as you can see selecting Eurocom X8 again from my sig made it even bolder...joluke likes this. -
Well the motherboard didn't fail, the audio jack was messed up and I never bothered to report it because I don't use it but on this RMA they wanted to know everything I've had an issue with.
It was working fine besides the throttling on the GPU when I didn't use max fans, the messed up shift key on the keyboard, a two random total shutdowns with the lights flashing, and the occasional slow POST along with the headphone jack only outputting one channel.
They replaced the motherboard, all the fans, pasted with IC Diamond, replaced the keyboard, TouchPad, and the top case too. They were extremely thorough this time. Basically my drives, RAM, and LCD are the only things that are what came with the system.
It's used to power the subwoofer. If you are on pure HDMI you can uninstall it or just disable it as it doesn't work over HDMI anyway, it purely interfaces with the Realtek chip. -
Wow.. OK thanks,, I uninstalled soundblaster X and tested my sound and... no difference :/ for a year Ive had that **** starting at boot for no damn reason lol..
Thanks allot for the info man..Ethrem likes this. -
It does a lot for the rather lacking audio quality of the system. When using Linux or even Windows without the X-Fi software, the sound is flat, the volume is very low, and it is just plain BAD.
-
you know I have never used my keyboard? That is the one on the laptop.. or that expensive damn screen I bought.. I use G710+ as my keyboard and G502 for my mouse (best mouse ever) I rought(sp?) them with hidden cables to center of my living room. I've never actually used my laptop with it open lol. Well unless I needed to get to bios settings but that's it.
But my keyboard is starting to double type keys so I use autohot key to stop that until I can replace keyboard I use.
OH and I stopped using that Clevo Hotkey software crap LOOOONG ago.. that sh!t is nothing but trouble.. plus the keyboard I use does 10x more then that garbage..Last edited: Jun 6, 2016Ethrem likes this. -
Yeah I don't use the keyboard much. Honestly my phone is used more for browsing than either of my machines are, I just hook up my Xbox controller and go generally.DreDre likes this.

yeah I use xbox controller for games..
Since you mentioned it.. do you by chance have The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt installed with newest add on blood and wine? I ask cause this is my fav game ever but my GPU's run hot after 1.21 update with B+W installed? Like at 80+ each. With ver 1.12.1 I never was over mid 60's low 70's.. latest update and GPU's run hot

Nah I stopped playing TW3. Couldn't really get into it. Lower your AA settings, AA yields a huge drop in temperature even going down by just 2x
-
OK that did help a bit. I set Nvidia hair to off and hair AA to 0. I did not see a general AA setting though? Strange for the most demanding game on planet?

I don't remember the specific settings but yeah removing those should help a good bit.
-
Dude.. how can you not like or be into The Witcher 3? That seems almost impossible. This game rocks so hard its crazy! IMO there is no better game on the planet lol
I mean don't get me wrong.. I have
Far Cry 4
Fallout 3+4
Skyrim
GTA 4+5
I have basically every game that's anything.. Witcher 3 is so damn awesome.. maybe you didn't give it a chance?
I have to admit, its taking everything I have to not comment more about this lol but I'll drop it. I love this game so much it's crazy.Last edited: Jun 7, 2016Ethrem likes this. -
Maybe if it wasn't such a beatdown on my GPUs I would have enjoyed it more. Also when it first came out, there was no font scaling which made it impossible to see on my TV so that kind of put the kibosh on it too.
-
Running the 368.22 driver at the moment after flashing stock vBIOS and have had a few driver crashing issues but for the most part they are much less frequent and games run fine.
Thought I would try my new mini DP to HDMI today using the thunderbolt port and turns out it doesn't work. Any of you managed to get an external display working using the thunderbolt/mini-DP? I might be doing something wrong.
Once plugged in, screen on the Laptop turns off, nothing on TV, unplug mini-dp to HDMI adapter and Laptop either crashes or takes 2+ mins to come back to life. Even threw it into recovery at one point!
Latest intel thunderbolt drivers are installed -
I've never heard of anyone having success with a 4K panel on the TB port on this machine.

Yeah I had the same problem with an Azus g-sync monitor over the mini-dp port. Worked fine on the AW, but like you it either crashed or came back to life a couple of mins later, seems there is some HW issue on the DP for this model - I have seen others have the same problem. I can use a miniDP - HDMI on my TV but only at 1080p/50hz... -
Support.1@XOTIC PC Company Representative
TVs can have different versions of HDMI on them, the same way a computer could have 1.4 or 2.0. That would affect the max refresh rate. 50hz is kind of an odd number though, but still better than 30hz I suppose.MickyD1234 likes this. -
It's not 1080p(rogressive) but 1080i... The progressive imagine uses 60hz. 1080i tv's use 50hz.

Hmm... I always understood 1080i to have a 30hz refresh rate which is why when the first 1080 TVs came out, most of us stuck to 720p. Interlaced refresh was 30 and progressive was 60.
-
There are tons of traditional formats, some where more popular in certain regions than others:
NTSC:
480i
480P
PAL:
576i
576P
HD:
720i
720P
FHD:
1080i
1080P
They can be found in 24, 25, 30, 50, 60 frames per second as well as interlaced and progressive.
While interlaced stores two half-frames per second, progressive describes full frames.i_pk_pjers_i, joluke and Ethrem like this. -
Yeah I knew it varied by region. Here in the US I know 1080i was 30 since I had a 1080i TV and dropped to 720p because it was much smoother but I never hooked that one up to a PC so I don't know the refresh rate it would have used.i_pk_pjers_i likes this.
-
Correct, FHD started with 1080i 30 frames (60 fields) in US/Japan and 1080i 25 frames (50 fields) in Europe/Australia as well as 24 for cinema.

1080i was not very popular for obvious reasons in the UK, it was mostly 720p or 1080p for value vs premium for a long time.

Good to know. I wasn't even thinking about PAL/NTSC.
