All the P870 TM1 having LED light at the back side of panel or its exclusive or vary vendor to vendor

thanks Meaker@Sager

No problem, it maintains that depth round except where the GPU heatsink sits over the HDMI. The fan retains the same depth however. -
Can anyone confirm that

Some vendors customise a bit more like origin but tend to cost more.
-
First of all thanks for the reply.
I just want to clear once again Clevo P870TM1 have the LED and Clevo P870TM1-G having LED
Are they both having LED ? Because identically both are same only G is for g-sync but P870TM1 is having a G-Sync. Sorry i'm very confused
Can u give a link what type of customization they do

I think TM1 is either SLI OR 1080 GPU. TM can carry the 1080 or 1070. I think that's the difference.
-

Check pictures with each vendor but no, there is no official model designation for such things. -
what would the upgrade kit consist of .... just a motherboard or whole cut???
-
-
Is there any separate thread for P870TM1
-
camberman3000 Notebook Consultant
This is the only other P870 specific thread I know of but the TM and TM1 are basically the same part if I understand it right. The TM technically comes with the GTX1070 and the TM1 comes with the GTX1080. Mine has the 1080 but the part number on the bottom says P870TM, so who the heck knows for sure, lol.

I think dealers are in better position to tell us how to identify. Even in Clevo website they don't mention any difference

Yeah, it's confusing to be sure. According to HID, I ordered the TM1 but the actual chassis tag says TM. Clevo's site isn't much more helpful. (TM shown on the left, TM1 on the right)

Yes it's very confusing. I checked with other members too but didn't get 100% accurate answer. I think HIDEVOLUTION can put some light on it.

Just GPU/heatsink differences so the motherboards and anything else important is pretty much comparable between them. -
So in barebone its mention that is P870TM1

Sorry I don't get what you mean. -

How about this:
P870 TM-normal heatsink, made for SINGLE CARD 1070 and 1080 version. not available for 1080 SLI.
P870 TM1- vapor chamber, made for single card 1070, 1080, and 1080 SLI version.
Is this correct, from a BGA jokebook user? -
Is there any engraving or sticker or any sort of part number is mention on the barebone because by looks both looks same.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
That is what I was told the model numbers mean. I think it was someone from hid that told me.
-
camberman3000 Notebook Consultant
I suppose that kinda makes sense. I ordered with a single 1080 but upgraded to the dual vapor chamber, which is likely why the base says TM and not TM1.
-
Well, my question was that in the barebone does model number is mention like P870TM1
-
The only difference you see between Clevo P870TMxxx models are their configuration in CPU and installed GPU with their respective heatsink.
If you are not sure, ask which heatsink you will be receiving.
Motherboard differences lie in G-sync license probably? Or is this motherboard independent and tied to the gpu vbios/gpu hardware as seen in the GTX9xx series (iirc it's only 1-2 resistor difference to identify it as a g-sync variant. -
@Meaker@Sager forgot to tag you for the questions above

No, since the outside is identical and can be outfitted with the relevant parts for each edition and these are designed to be customised.NIGHTMARE, kfxsti, Papusan and 1 other person like this. -
Order my 870TM1 on the 9th.
Just got my laptop from HIDevolution. On the box outside is label as 870TM. I hadn't unbox yet so no more detail on it.
I think the different between two are P870TM1 can handel dual 1080GTX or 1 1080GTX with vapor chamber. Just my thought on that.NIGHTMARE likes this. -

Heatsink and card are the only difference so the boxes are made for both.

Got my laptop up last night, installed Win10, driver and update.
First impression it a big laptop and heavy and well bulit, only compliant I had right now it that crappy keyboard, my 10yr old sager had better keyboard than this one.
I also like to know if I can install WIN7 and if the driver working fine.
First time using Win10 need sometime to get use to it, and anyone got some software recommandtion. -
One more thing what are those tiny small rectangular boxs I see all over on my screen, with the window default wallpaper. It.s not visibly under the white background but with blue and grey you can see very clear within typing distance.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Do you have a picture? -
I try to take the photo but it's not show in the picture.
Best I can describe it that I'm see the horizontal and vertical line one the whole screen, and I can see the small boxes in the window's icon. Like if I go to the google website. I will see the GOOGLE is made up by small tiny boxes, is not smooth as I see on my old laptop. -
yes, you can have win7. there is a @Mr. Fox 's guide about it
-
has the Prema BIOS been made available?
Tempted to buy one and partially gut the P870DM-G for RAM and SSDs.ole!!! likes this. -

he's generally known for GPUs, not really full systems....unless they're branched out.
looking to get one with a @Prema BIOS and I'm still waiting for him to fix my screen issue too! BOO! -
Than @hidevolution can ship it with all your requirements.

i need @Prema to mod my BIOS to allow for a 1440p panel I installed previously. not for this particular model, the one that's listed in my signature.
-
No. That is incorrect now.
If you want, send him a private message or hopefully he sees it here. Before deciding to go with the Mighty Mini, I reached out on a quote for an MSI MS16L13, and @woodzstack was more than helpful.Last edited: Apr 6, 2018 -
