My PB51EF turned off suddenly and won't start. It was running hot before shutting down. Besides to leave it unplugged and remove the battery, any other advice? I have labor warranty through gentechpc but would rather not have to ship it in. Thanks

Try booting it up just on battery and if you get no response you probably want to send it in.

Well, I took the battery out, removed the cover, wiped any visible dust, blew on the fan (didn't have compressed air), left the battery out overnight and today it was able to boot. I'm not sure what the issue is but I'm guessing overheating had something to do with it. I wanna repaste the laptop but it came with liquid metal (conductonaut) which is supposed to last a while. Should I still repaste? The laptop was purchased in June 2019. Aside from taking the fan apart and cleaning it completely, is there anything else I can do maintenance wise? I have to keep remembering to raise the laptop or use a notebook cooler.

Mine also has conductonaut and recently sees CPU temp spike even under light load (when loading into Windows, internet browsing etc.). Temp while gaming also increase to 90C+ and throttle when stress test on CPU. GPU on the other hand still OK (it also has liquid metal).
Plan to send in the unit for re-paste

Sounds like it does need looking at.

Hi, my first post here ...

I ripped off a keycap from my 6-month old PB51DDS. How do I mount these parts correctly?
    Thanks,
    Angel

It's a scissor switch, if you Google that it should show you.

If it has snapped or is not repairable you can ask your reseller for a replacement cost.

They most definitely can be popped back on if you do it correctly. Unless one of the white scissor parts is broken, then you'll need to contact the reseller.

They actually do want to sit in the right position if you get them sitting right before you press down.
