Look like it has only 1 fan on the left . These kind of "desktop replacement laptops" must be thick or at least , for the sake of god , add 2 fans please , clevo?
I bet $20 it will run hot as hell , like any typical (1 fan) multi-media notebook

The only desktop replacement laptop that is worth buying is the XMG U507 (Desktop CPU + GTX 1060)
It's very thick and heavy though (7.5 pounds ~ 3.4kgs)

i think that this clevo w650kk1 with an i7-7700t (35w tdp) or i7-7700 (65w tdp) could be better than xps with i7-7700hq (45w tdp) for fem/cfd use and 1050ti is faster than 1050.
i don't think that 94°C are great temps as in the stress test of xps.
do you know some tests of w650kk1? reviews?

the only problem for me is that there is not a tb3 port for egpu solutions and gpu is only a 1050ti and not a quadro :(
i could use autocad/inventor/3dstudio without problems but solidworks or catia could have a loss of speed

The lower one with 2 heat pipes is CPU. It's a socketed CPU which can be changed by will.

They are designed more for the lower power desktop CPUs but should perform decently well with those.

It may be slightly OT, but I just noticed that the latter offers also (as the only European seller that I found) W650KJ1. The difference from W650KK1 is GPU - 1050 instead of 1050Ti. And in price, €50 less.

BTW, I see also W651KK1 and W651KJ1 on the Clevo site. I can't find anything on how are they different from W650 (Clevo description shows them the same) and I can't find any seller either.

i did the same question for p651/p650. in that case there are only aesthetic differences like rubberized alluminium/alluminium.

Not even on the W650KK1 Clevo put a foot on the battery (as opposed to the N850HK1)... no one shall defend that stupid design decision on the N850 anymore...

now looking for a scale to weigh it...

I lived with my P170EM for 5 years and never found that a problem tbh.
leave the battery inserted as standby power and you've got an ultra reliable workstation laptop :)

I have done 2 already? with XTU & aida 64, what exact software are you looking at?

The fan never runs into 100% unless Fn+1, noise is comparably lower than my P170EM(especially CPU side), GPU fan might be around the same tho

    No problem
It works out really well, I bought it for $6500 HKD only ~$810USD

    included:
    Intel i5-7500
    NV GTX1050Ti 4GB
    Corsair Vengeance D4-2400 8GB
    AUO AHVA screen
    Lite-On 128GB m.2 SATA SSD < better than nothing
    Intel Wireless AC 7265

    if Clevo ever produce a 17" W670KK (+4K screen)
or one with AMD am4 socket
    or one with USB-C / TB3

all those would be game changer, atleast in my dream :D

    What were the ambient temps?
Assuming 22 °C and actual power consumption of 65W, the temperature rise is 0.8 °C/W.
A 91W CPU in this chassis, with the same thermal paste as yours (I wonder which is it), would peak at 95 °C. Assuming that the fans don't ramp up further, which would reduce the temps below that.

With a delid, liquid metal and undervolt, this chassis should handle 7700k easily. And that would be amazing bang for the buck (and for the size too).
