    Hello.

I am going crazy trying to find some instructions on how to open and clean the fan of Samsung R519.

I used to open and clean my older laptoo extremely easily, but with R519 it seems impossible.

I removed all the screws for nothing. It is a whole plastic piece covering all and I fear to break something if I try to pull it.

I cleaned it a bit with a vacuum from outside but still needs to be opened.

Any advice? I checked this thread but it is a different model and didn't help me. http://forum.notebookreview.com/samsung/117192-samsung-x20-cleaning-cooler-fan.html

    Thanks in advice.

You can also see if the link to the R20 instructions in this thread is of any help.

Failing that, a combination of a can of compressed air and a vacuum clean might help shift any muck.

    Thanks.

I can't believe Samsung doesn't make it possible to clean the fan. It was so easy in my older laptop. Must be a good income for them to clean the fans but I find it so cheap.

If you want serviceability then get a Dell Latitude, but you pay extra for a computer that is built to provide easy maintenance. Samsung's notebooks are designed for easy assembly. However, I agree that many customers (myself included) would be happier if Samsung published better servicing information.
