    Hi guys,

I couldn't send it to Samsung as I am studying at the moment and I do not know how much they will charge, someone said close to 300 pounds!

It's broken. I know, it happens.

I don't think there is any fix other than to replace the broken parts or glue them where possible -- or live with it, if the computer still works. If you want to try and repair it yourself, you can check samsungparts.com for spare parts. They also have downloadable service manuals. Once you have found the part numbers you need, can google them for better prices.

If it is "only" plastic chassis parts that are broken (no motherboard or connectors or screen) it should be less expensive. But I still wouldn't expect it to be cheap. Give them a call and ask them. That's what I would do, not being the repair technician type myself. There is also local repair shops, which may cost less.

If you give it a day or two, others may see this and have better suggestions.

i dont think anything electrical is broken, im using it as we speak as far as i can see on the plastic and maybe the hinges have come apart.

In that case, and assuming there isn't a risk of things breaking any further, I would probably just live with it. Or look for cheap spare parts on eBay to fix it myself.

The hinges are surprisingly inexpensive and it may be worthwhile trying a DIY repair. The plastic parts can often be fixed with either epoxy resin or superglue.
