Hello, nice to meet u all

i have problem with Default Boot Logo, i got this laprop with custom logo, and i want to change back to default. when i try search in internet, the way to change logo is edited the BIOS File, of just update to the last BIOS.

the problem is, i dont know where to find/donwload the samsung bios firmware, i already search in internet, samsung website, an i already to ask samsung service center, but no answer until now.

im already waiting SW Update from samsung, but no new firmware update until now.

fyi, this bios is using APTIO i think, and you can see detail in picture ( http://imgur.com/lWjkkVZ and http://imgur.com/p4NojXG )

    My question is :
    - where ato get my bios firmware/ update? or
    - how to change bios logo
    - on anyone can inform me how to backup my bios firmware?

    thank you,
    sorry for my english..

    thank you all :)

Try using the Samsung BIOS Update program.

However, if the notebook has a special BIOS (the last 3 letters of the BIOS name is a unique identifier) then it will only look for newer versions of the same BIOS. There are ways of finding other BIOSes in the database and also forcing a BIOS update. You will find details elsewhere in this forum either under the BIOS heads or the unbricking headings in this list.

Thank s John. im already try BIOS Update Program, there is show the newer version.
now how to update? it is ok when i update via windows (with click the Update Button) at BIOS Update Program??
or must update via CMD Maybe?
because i saw many thread show when update via SW Update is ended with bricked.

and then, if i update bios with the newer, the bootlogo is automativally reset (back to default depent on the bios file) right?

    thank you..

    1. The BIOS Update problem is safer than trying to do the update through SW Update as it works at a lower level and it is easy for the user to see what is happening.

    2. Whether the logo will disappear depends on factors including: (a) is the ABW BIOS for the normal version of the 730U3E or for a customised version where the logo is coded into the BIOS; the logo being stored somewhere where it is not over-written by a BIOS update.

Anyway, the BIOS update may fix some other issues and improve compatibility with Windows 10 so it may be sensible to update for that reason. We've got a lot of knowledge here (probably more than Samsung themselves) about unbricking should the unlikely happen.

thanks john, you help me a lot..
okay, so there is still have a possibility the boot picture is not change if i update the bios :( ??

i ever read, there is a program to customize the boot logo ( in this link), and i download it. but when i try to open, the extension is different (*.dg and *.exe). maybe you have some reccomendation to other software ?
i read in this forum, we can extract the exe file with looked in temp folder when we opened the update program, but in temp folder just have 1 log file.

but, i will try to update now. thank you..

I wonder if the BIOS updater has detected that it's a customised notebook.

You might be able to get the updater to run by using one of the optional switches. Some of these are documented in the unbricking threads. However, there is the risk of something going wrong and you might end up with your own unbricking challenge so read those threads carefully.
