    I love my X60+

But I'd really like to see my page at 100% in Word - it's correct on my desktop: if I hold a piece of A4 paper up to the screen, then the page is exactly the correct width. On the (high-res widescreen display) laptop, it's way smaller than 100%.

What do I need to do?!

    Cheers!

You have hit on one of the major weaknesses of Windows: It can't handle display scaling properly. Vista was promised to fix this problem and give 10 point print in 10 point size independent of display size and resolution. However, this feature isn't there (and for me the feature was the key reason for considering migration). Most software is designed around the display having 96dpi (dots per inch) but the 15.4" WSXGA+ display is around 129dpi.

I have got my display set to 120dpi (everything is too small for my eyes at 96dpi) and I find that I need about 108% zoom in Word to get the right size. At 96dpi you will need 134% zoom. Does this make sense? It's not a Samsung problem but a feature of Windows.
