Anybody have any success installing Windows 8 with full functionality (drivers/software, etc.)? I recently installed Windows 8 Pro (build 9200) and am having trouble installing some of the drivers from Samsung--getting incompatible errors or setup just exits. I cannot seem to install Easy Settings and Express Cache.

What have you guys install successfully?

I don´t have NP700Z5C but NP700Z5A, i installed windows 8, after installation install SW update (you can download it on samsung support website here SAMSUNG PC Windows 8 Upgrade), it will download and install needed drivers for Windows 8, after than everything work fine (all FN key (but the dont have same graphic visual as on win7 but they are working all i tested it), express cache etc), One thing doesnt work or doesnt work well, it´s switchable graphic, both card are working (photoshop in battery use HD3000 and on plugged in use HD6750) but you can´t manually choose, what is a problem, after i try to go to catalyst control centre and press configure switchable graphic just nothing happend, it´s a problem of many laptops with amd switchable graphic, maybe they do not support windows 8 for now. ?
If anybody have a solution for this I would like to know it :)

Thank you! The Samsung SW Update program did the trick! I didn't realize they had that. I've been downloading the Windows 7 x64 bit drivers/programs from the website all this time! :X

    Quick question.

Did you upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8? If so, did it all go ok?

I did a fresh Windows 8 install using the DVD disc, not USB method. USB method will not work with ExpressCache. Don't know why, but there are lots of threads about this. I think I am going to do a writeup on the install for those who are having trouble.

i do the upgrade without clean install and i dont recommend you to do this, i had some problems with booting to windows 8, it was very slow about one minute and more, so i did a clean install and now it all ok, now i have booting time under 20 seconds with all apps already installed

    Thanks folks.

I've been offered a Windows 8 upgrade for £15 but i don't think that lets you do a fresh install.

it should be, you have option to keep 1. data, programs, 2. only data, 3. nothing - which is clean install, or you can after installing windows 8 do a reset (clean install) or refresh (it keeps your personal data etc.) but you need to burn iso file which you downloaded to DVD (it need some files from it) during this process, or make restore DVD and burn it.

    Ok thanks.

So it has to be a DVD or it will have issues with the Express Cache?

I'm curious- For those of you who installed Windows 8, has the battery life been affected at all in either direction?
