    Hi there

I'm sorry for posting this in the samsung thread, but i wanted to hear your specific views for the samsung x60.

I want to upgrade my current 100Gig drive (only about 88 when formatted) to a decnent fast 200gb drive. I've searched and searched and cannot find a 5400RPM drive with that capacity anywhere in the UK. I've searched pricerunner and it comes up with results but when you click on the result the drive is only 4200.

Can someone please tell me if these drives are available and if so where can i get one from.

    Thanks ever so much everyone

    Jamie

200GB disks are only available with 7200 and 4200rpm. There are no 200GB 5400rpm disks. Maybe the 200GB 7200rpm disk is not yet available in the UK since it is very new. If I were you I would consider the 250GB 5400rpm disk from Western Digital (the 250GB Samsung disk has problems).

I agree with Wave. Get the WD2500BEVS. Probably the cheapest is Komplett. I have one in my X60 plus and it performs fine, unlike the Samsung HM250JI (which I got first and has now gone back - more details in the hardware forum).
