Hello everyone, I bought a 700Z5A-S02FR in December and a couple days ago several keys started not working properly (either they don't work at all or just episodically after I press them a bit harder). The keys in question are LEFT ARROW and FN LOCK, which are situated at different ends of the keyboards (they're not side to side). Has anyone ever had this problem? How can I fix it? Pressing it a bit harder used to work but not anymore and it's not like I really want to them up for good...

The pc has never fallen and I doubt there is a significant amount of dust in the keys...

Thanks for the help and best regards

I've not experienced the problem. Sounds like a repair is in order.

I've sent an e-mail to Samsung and they replied that I should use Samsung Recovery Solution to do a full restore.

I can't see how that would help. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately, it's one of the standard hoops that most notebook manufacturers expect customers to jump through. A significant proportion of problems get resolved by a full system restoration.

Corrupted drivers, corrupted programs, even programs that aren't corrupted but can cause malfunctions under certain conditions, plus malicious programs. These can all cause a computer to misbehave in a way that looks like a hardware problem. Before Samsung (and most other manufacturers) will entertain a warranty claim they want to be sure that it occurs with the Windows and software as supplied with the computer.
