I'm starting to get a little paranoid so I need someone to talk me off the ledge.![]()
I would really like one of the new Samsung Series 9 15" notebooks as soon as they are available. Lets assume for the sake of argument Samsung launches on 2/27. Let's also assume the retail channel has them on 3/1. I believe the initial crop of second generation Sammy Series 9 machines with be Sandy Bridge (SB) based. Is that correct?
Now for the speculation...
What happens if Ivy Bridge (IB) does in fact launch in April? Would Samsung ship IB based Series 9 notebooks within 90 days of the launch of the SB based models?
I'm starting to think now it is much smarter to ignore the initial SB based machines and just wait for the IB machines.
Thoughts?

Just to remind anyone about the leaks. Ultrabook processors are expected for May, so we should see them in Samsungs by the beginning of the Summer season.

I guess I could wait til the beginning of summer. But around that time I'll think I could wait a couple of months til Windows 8 comes out. Come that time, and I'll want to wait a couple of months to see the new Ultrabooks with touchscreens and newer features... ... ... ...
On second thought, maybe I'll just get this one. -
Win 8 is build for tablets...so you can get something like ASUS EEE Pad Win 8 version...not much point watiting for Win 8 on notebooks as it's useless with mouse scrolling...
+ As far as I know Win 8 is expected to launch for October-ish with actual shipments probably in November to get the holiday season so that's definitely not 2 months from End of May
90 days fast one? SB and IB timing
