I got the worst type (constantly on - white one) and placed almost in the center. I bought this ultrabook second hand, it has an extended warranty up to 2017 incl. mechanical damage. I'm aware of the ISO standard and number of dead pixels required, but I have read somewhere on the internet that a guy got one replaced on the basics of having one dead pixel just like mine (white and in the center). Is the display of 900X3E treated as class I, or was this just BS? Can I actually get it fixed?
Alternatively, is it possible to order a display change for money? if they won't change it based on warranty, maybe paying for a new display would do the trick. I hate dead pixels.
Also, I have noticed that the keyboard makes a buzzing sound if it's lit up (it doesn't happen on 4 stages of backlight, just on the final, strongest one). Is this normal? Its audible if you press your ear to the keyboard or use it in a very silent room i.e. at night. Doesn't bother me too much because the max backlight is too bright for me anyway (I'm using the 4th "level"), but... yeah, weird.

Check your user manual. I recently noticed that the manual for the NP870Z5G states:
John -
I read about such buzzing before on this forum (similar issue - buzzing only at max brightness of the keyboard) , but it was about 900X3C.
Warranty-worthy, I take it? -

The problem with any of the noise problems is that the service centres don't have a quiet room where they can take computers to listen for unusual noises that people can hear in the quiet of their own homes so computers sometimes get returned unfixed because the technician can't hear the noise.
