I'm looking to get a new 17" laptop. I understand that ATIV 8 has replaced last year's chronos 7 series. There's already 15.6" ATIV 8 ultrabook available but where's the 17.3" ATIV 8?

    Thanks bunch guys

At the moment it appears as if the Samsung production line has got constipation. The only new models of significance in the past few months are the Book 9 Plus and the Book 9 Lite.

There might be a deluge of new models in the very near future if Samsung are going to chase the Christmas market or perhaps they will now wait until CES in January to show off the new models.

I forgot to mention that there is the NP770Z7E which was released in 2013.

I'm not sure how that fits into the "Book" numbering - no new versions of this 17" have been released in the past few months.

If they are going to have a new 17 inch model for Christmas they better hurry and I would think we would see something within the next 2 weeks.

There was some unfounded rumor that a 17 inch was going to be introduced at CES or early next year and it would have a high resolution screen (maybe with a 4K screen) and be very thin. Again that was just a unfounded rumor and I haven't been about to find any evidence in that.
