    Hello,

I am looking for Samsung Chronos 17" model as shown in CES2012.
Samsung Series 7 Chronos 17-inch Video Hands-on: JBL Sound, Sweet HD Screen

I know there are 15.6" models available in the market but I am more interested in 17" models as heard that it will come will Ivy Bridge, two hdd bays, high end graphics, JBL sound, full 1080P etc.

I contacted with Samsung on live chat & on phone, but look like those guys don't even know that there is 17" model coming.

Couple of days back, I found it listed on J&R, but that was with totally wrong specs like 1366x768 resolution & all that.

Can someone share here if he knows any expected date of it's release?

    Thank you.

    Best Regards

People are only predicting the release date, it is really unknown until Samsung say something. I am also interested in buying that laptop, I think it will be released sometime in the summer.

Yes, I read somewhere that will be released on 8th of April. If it will not release in April, I will have to go with Samsung NP700Z5A-S0AUS. Samsung is going bad on release dates, always delay :(

It's not a problem with Samsung, the real issue is that Intel Ivy Bridge chips have been delayed. They should debut sometime in the 2nd quarter though. So you may have to wait 2-3 months.
