Does anyone know if you can get the Samsung N150 with Windows XP instead of the awful Windows 7 Starter. Is there an option to re-install XP Home on it? I loathe Windows 7 Starter ! Also I read it can come with a 250GB HDD but only find the 160 GB HDD version. I like the really light weight etc and keyboard seems good. I have an NC10 which is now my wife's so need a little travel netbook for myself and don't want to spend $$$$$$$$$$$. I was also looking at the N510 but it seems there is a heat issue with its charging block? Can I use an alternative one ? Again this netbook will be used in hot climates.

hey I had one of these briefly.. came with win 7 starter.. the main thing that made me sell it.. no place to put the crystal hd card. there is no 2nd mini pcie slot. that's the main thing I bought it for.. a portable hd video player.. oh well. it was very good otherwise.. great matte screen

You could use a standard Samsung 65W PSU if you think that the bundled 40W (I assume) PSU is struggling to deliver enough power. Unless Samsung have recently changed their ways, all the PSUs of the past few years use the same voltage and plug. However, higher power rating means bigger PSU.

In fact, I wouldn't want to go to far from civilisation without taking a spare PSU. It is the component most likely to die.

well that is good advice. Can you buy the PSU separately in UK ? I remember that in the jungle the NC10 one would get really hot ...so I don't know if I will risk it with the N510 is that gets hotter... then basically it comes down to battery life. So which one has more, the N150 or the N210/220? Would love the extra screen size of 510 but running hotter is not really an option

Here's a Samsung 60W PSU (but I'm not sure if it is genuine or compatible - more likely the latter at that price).

    Look for AD-6019 for 60W and AD-4019 for 40W.
