    Hey,

Was looking at buying the Samsung R560 cos it seems to be good value for money. However, after seeing the Acer 6920 series with the 16" screen I was wondering if Samsung has any plans in the near future to release a new laptop with a 16" screen? On a side note does anyone know if its possible to get the R560 in the UK with a 9600 GT instead of GS graphics card? And will it make a difference in game playability?

    Thanks!

For 16" see the Samsung R610. However, the current model has the 9200M GS GPU, so it isn't intended for heavy gaming. The specs at the back of the User Guide don't list any more powerful GPUs.

Ah that's a shame it looks like a better option for a high end GPU. Thanks. Will probably hold out a few weeks more. Any idea if they have plans to launch a more powerful 16"?

There's a version of the 17" R710 with the 9600M GT. I think Samsung see the R610 as a DVD player.

Woah...googled it and the rumored specs are crazy. I have no idea how that laptop could pull that much power and still stay safely warm. Any idea the price or when it will be released?

lmao its actually already out only in europe though.

Also owners are saying heat isnt an issue! It scores around 5700 3dmark which is impressive you can not find a 13" notebooks that score anything near that
