So now that I've installed my 256 SSD I have ExpressCache turned off. IS anyone doing anything with that space? It seems like we could format it and use it for something, maybe a VM?

If you do a lot of file sharing you can use it for downloads and uploads to save read and write time on your ssd.

I replaced the dvd drive with a flimzy HDD bay and the stock hard drive. So now I have a D: with 1TB of storage. Is there a way to tell the iSSD to cache for the old drive and not the new?

It looks like there are some limits to the Intel RST, from the Intel site:
    Intel® Z68/Z77/H77/Q77 Express Chipset-based desktop board
Intel® Core™ Processor in the LGA 1155 package
System BIOS with SATA mode set to RAID
Intel Rapid Storage Technology software 10.5 version release or later
Single hard disk drive or multiple drives in a single RAID volume
Solid State Drive (SSD) with a minimum capacity of 18.6GB

I'd need to format my drive to be in RAID mode? The iSSD is also not 18.6 gigs.

I found another application called FancyDisk. It looks like it will let you cache the HDD to the iSSD and you could also cache the SSD into a Ramdisk. That seems pretty neat and it's free. I wonder how it compares to Intel RST
