I bought a Samsung Series 3 NP350E7C-A01US. It comes with Windows 8. I put Windows 7 x64 on it and realized Samsung provides almost no support for this laptop, drivers are all for Windows XP (this laptop isn't that old....), I can't find the bluetooth driver for USB\VID_0cf3&PID_3004 Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS.

I tried some HP drivers for AR3012, even some driver packages that includes VID_0cf3&PID_3004, and windows xp drivers. Some of them can pass installation but still fails to load..

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
    or
the configuration file is for an old version of Windows
    or
    can't find the configuration file

Any thoughts on this? Does Toshiba or Bluesoleil bluetooth stack work with AR3012 on Windows 7?

Samsung support is totally a joke..... no wonder they have no enterprise market.... I definitely don't want to support this kind of products in IT..... With Lenovo/Dell/HP at least you can find the drivers and documentations, maybe even talk to someone who knows their stuff.... but Samsung c/s is completely useless.....

    1. Would the driver here work.

    2. Samsung's driver / software support is now set up to work through SW Update (at least for the Series 5, 7 and 9). Is SW Update provided for your Series 3? If so, use it.

    Thanks John.
    1. I have tried all the drivers that I can find from driver sites like atheros.cz, from vendor's support site for other models, from Windows Driver Catalog... no luck... I even tried to manually modify inf file to add this hardware id, doesn't work... tried IVT and Toshiba bluetooth stack too, no luck

    2. that SW Update fails to load...

Alternative thought: Is the WiFi working? If so, what is the model number of the WiFi card?

Many of the computers now use a combo WiFi / Bluetooth card.
