    Hi there

I have formatted and re-installed Vista home premium on my Q35.
I have everything pretty much re-installed now, but can't find out how to make the backlight automatically dim when there is no mouse / keyboard activity for a couple of mins, as it did with the factory install on....Anyone got any ideas how to get this feature back?

    Thanks
    Neil

I think that is the Easy Battery Manager but it might be the Easy Display Manager. You can get the applications here if you can't find them on your disc.

    Thanks for the reply John.

Unfortunately, I have already installed both of the apps you mention :(

    Cheers

I'm short of further suggestions. Looking at the Vista on my Q35, the display dimming is happening automatically in both the Power Saver and Samsung Optimised power profiles. I can't see anywhere to adjust it.

Either right-click the battery icon in the system tray and select "Windows Mobility Center", or type mobility into the start menu and get to it that way. At the bottom of the Windows Mobility Center window there should be an option to turn auto-dimming on/off.
