The resume time and BIOS detect time become more than 5mins. Especially every single time I power on the laptop after I shutdown it completely. The thing is it stuck at SAMSUNG logo image, needs around 6 mins then it will go to windows welcome interface. I think it is wasting time on detecting hardware such as memory or hard drives. I already enabled the fast bios boot in BIOS setting. It doen't affect anything. Currently I am using P05AAG firmware for my BIOS. But I really want to know if there is a newer version for my BIOS. Could you tell me if P06AAA, P07ABJ, P08AAH can work for my BIOS? and where can I check for it.

Please HELP!!! It really bothers me...many thanks

You can only use a P**AAG BIOS family for your notebook.

I wonder if the problem is caused by Windows 8 / 8.1 which don't by default, do a hard shutdown / reboot. Try the options in Charms > Change PC Settings > General > Advanced Startup.

Thx for replying John. Its not because the OS I think. Cuz the problem happened before I install win8.1. It happened when I using win7 .
I replaced a new SSD Harddrive with my DVD, using it as the system partition. And install a new OS. But the problem persist. So i think that it is not relate to my OS and harddrive?

Then perhaps you can explain the disk drive letters and capacities. The graphic in your first post states:
It appears to me that the whole is somewhat less than the sum of the parts. Sensibly, E: should be no more than 43.57GB. Perhaps the computer is spending several minutes looking for where the rest of the capacity is hidden.

Perhaps you should back up E: then delete and recreate it to see if it becomes the correct size.

So my new Ssd harddrive is 240GB (C:drive and D:drive).
The E:drive is the original harddrive which is come from the manufacture. So 931GB is a correct size of the partition.

    OK.

Remove the original HDD and see if the computer boots quickly.
