SO got this 3 series (NP305E5A-A08US) from BB. All is good except BT. I got a Meelec Air-Fi AF32 BT headset. Pairs and connects fine.
Problem? If I go to youtube and play something it is fine. Now if I close the browser and comes back after a few minutes and open the browser and go to youtube again the audio stutters. Same thing with other applications. VLC for example audio is fine the first time. Close the app come back in a few minutes it is stuttering again.
If I turn off the headset and restart and reconnect it works fine. But again if close the program and open again after a bit audio is stuttering. When BT Headset is paired it is set as the default playback device.
Same thing with the test in speaker properties. Turn off headset, restart, test using the test button it is fine. Now try again after some idle time the test audio also stutters.
Uninstalled driver/re-installed/upgraded driver etc. No go. Headset have no issues with my Android Tablet.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and ideas.!

Try changing the power management settings for the Bluetooth device.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Talked to Meelec. They say no power management settings for the device. They are putting it on the BT driver (Atheros). Guess I am out of luck here.

Got a fix finally. Got a model with Intel BT chip. No issues on the Intel version. Atheros not good. This rules out AMD systems from now on. Intel wifi and intel BT.

Unit with Intel BT and Wifi I got from Ebay had body crack issues so returned it. Talked to Samsung support rep in the US over the phone. Gave the model number (NP500P4C-S01US) to make sure the system did not come with Atheros. She said it came with Intel. Got the system from Amazon. Again,Atheros WiFi and BT inside
. Audio stutters if the audio output has been idle for even a few minutes. Disconnect Bluetooth, reconnect Bluetooth no stutter. Same cycle.
Can't figure out know how to handle Samsung support. One guy I talked to (again in the US) told me the system did not come with wi-fi but I have to buy my own WiFi. What a joke. Another fun thing is that even the Samsung support or Sales reps can't seem to tell anything beyond what is visible on the website. You give the model number they read out info from the website. You ask for details they say they don't have it. In my case the lady gave me the info which turned out to be wrong. Samsung made 7 billion last quarter so I don't think they are in the caring mode about these issues.
It is very hard to find a system with matte screen which is the reason I am going with Samsung. Any tips on how to handle this will be appreciated.
Are there any Samsung reps who visit this forum?

If the Bluetooth is handled by the WiFi combo card (eg Intel 6230 or 6235 or Atheros equivalent) then the fix is to replace this card. Samsung like to save a few dollars by using the Atheros cards even though Intel ones tend to have fewer compatibility issues.

Thanks John for the idea.
I am hoping it is one of those mini PCI-E cards and hopefully easily accessible . Gotta open up and take a look.
